AI Agenda Live - SF

The rise of conversational artificial intelligence has drawn hundreds of billions of dollars to fund new data centers, server chips and startups. At the same time, businesses wonder when they’ll get significant returns from buying the technology, and some startups have already called it quits as certain sectors get too crowded.

The Information’s AI Agenda Live on February 27, 2025, will tackle the most pressing questions facing the industry. Located in San Francisco and hosted by Amir Efrati, Stephanie Palazzolo and other reporters from The Information, AI Agenda Live will feature fireside chats and lively panel discussions with the founders, investors and scientists shaping the field. Attendees will get to talk and learn from these leaders, with plenty of time for live Q&A and networking.

Among the topics we’ll explore:

  • What’s the trajectory of chip prices and will algorithmic improvements in AI lead to lower computing costs?
  • Will competition in AI apps/services continue to pressure prices and profits for large swaths of startups and other generative AI providers?
  • Which businesses are successfully launching their own generative AI apps to cut costs on coding, customer service, sales, content moderation or other tasks—at scale?
  • How many traditional enterprise software and cloud services could generative AI replace, including apps like Salesforce?
  • What are upcoming models from Google, OpenAI and Anthropic showing us about the trajectory of LLM capabilities?
  • When will an AI be as competent as a human expert in various domains, from math to marketing?
  • Which generative AI startups are finding product-market fit? What kind of agent or autonomous AI products are actually working?
  • Will the race for AI supercomputer supremacy lead to a big crash, similar to broadband after the dot com boom?
